It is the mission of Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School to develop the unique academic, physical, artistic, social, and emotional strengths of middle grades students. The staffaculty of Anderson Middle School is committed to creating and maintaining an orderly, trusting, positive, and caring environment where teaching and learning are exciting, and students are mentored as they develop responsibility and become life-long learners.
Anderson Middle School is Above Negative Influences! Red Ribbon week was a
blast at Anderson Middle School. We started the week with signing a pledge
not to do drugs and making a Drugs Won't Break Me Chain. Festivities
continued with students showing that they are drug free by wearing the color
red. The 7th grade class represented themselves well by wearing the most
amount of red. The high point of the week was when D.E. A. agents flew
their helicopter right on to Anderson's field. These agents talked to all
of our students about the history of Red Ribbon Week. They told us about
how they work on stopping the spread and use of drugs. They also let us
know about all of the cool features of the helicopter. As a result of Red
Ribbon Week, we know that we don't have use drugs to have fun.
